I have some folks I used to see and a buddy would play with them sometimes called "Hogeye Navvy" that would do sea chanties, old drinking songs like this and the like at a pub here in Indianapolis and his voice singing Waltzing Matilda was so wonderful. I never knew the meaning though until now . His voice was deeper and it was more folky like Hoyt Axton.

Drum Corps International has been around since 1972 you have a whole lot of catching up to do. Drum & Bugle Corps have been around even longer. You name the Genre it has been done by these Corps. Hopefully you guys jump in with both feet into the performances over the years. Enjoy!

I saw Mr Feltface live a couple of years ago at a small venue here in little Norway. I can't imagine he paid any bills coming here back then at that little 200 seat venue. As soon as saw he booked another tour passing through here I immediately got tickets for it. Can't wait for the next show! At least he got a better gig this time and a bigger audience. I hope he does well and I wish him the best of luck! I might have put him off a little. He likes to make the puppet the main attraction, not the man behind it. But I started a round of applause as the prop he used to hide himself behind (Literally an ironing board with a sheet hanging over it) was awkwardly carried off stage with him crawling underneath it.

Got to see these guys live on a date when I was a teenager in the 70s. Truly entertaining.

The last I knew, they were the only two people in the Baseball Hall of Fame that did not play, coach or own any team. You should check out Jeff Dunham's "Peanut's Password Problem". It is an homage to this skit.

Good natured stoners. They were actually very good when they got "serious". Rolling Stone started as a hippie street paper but grew in influence to be the pre-eminent journal of rock music criticism. I breathlessly awaited every copy. In retrospect they were very elitist, favoring west coast hippie psych-noodling. They would give any album rave reviews as long as it was by the Grateful Dead and they turned up their noses at metal which they considered music for peasants. They opened the British version of band or live aid has it's called now. They, has openers they made the others a bit envious mainly because they were a live act band and together they made live aid what is now history and when they came off after being the first act on the bill. They were out of their heads drunk and before and after they started playing allegedly. You might be able to find this bands live aid video interview they did . They were a sixties band that even if they bought out a song tomorrow it would go to number ten in the charts and maybe go higher. I think they never stopped touring well that's how I like to think of them. And the running joke "with the Quo" was they could only play three chords over the last fifty years, "three chords, my arse," Love mum
